The plan: Drive two and a half hours up to Duluth for a rave in a freaking CARNIVAL, have tonsa fun, drive back or stay at someone's house up thar.
Whu happ'n?: We drive all the way there, and as SOON as we get there, we get a call from one of our friends saying there were roughly seven police officers there, and they were trying to get the show shut down. Apparently, the excuse they used was the venue didn't have a license to have that sort of a musical performance. So, tensions were very, VERY high (especially in me; I was apparently the one they chose to drive them around. It was me, without a GPS, phone had no data (so no Google Maps.) Anyone reading my journal should KNOW how I am with directions as it is, and I DIDN'T HAVE ANY DIRECTIONS. In a place I've NEVER BEEN TO BEFORE >.<).
We went next door to a little Subway, where half the rave ended up packing themselves in. The one dude working there was really cool about all of it; he must've been used to things like that happening every so often. We hung out there for roughly two hours, getting ABSOLUTELY NOTHING accomplished, and I was getting more agitated by the second. It didn't help either, that was incredibly freezing, and I had this thing going on I get sometimes where when it's cold and I'm outside, I start gagging if I talk, and I feel like throwing up. My stomach wasn't treating me well all morning as it was, so that most definitely didn't help. I just wanted to go back and go to sleep or something. "Our" group turned into me, Nata, Dylan, Jolene, Christian, Kitt, and Lola. Dylan and Jolene wanted to nab a hotel room at first, but we decided it would be best to save the money and head back home, wasting only the ~300-400 miles worth of gas.
The rest of the night went much better. We all hung out at Joshu's until he came back from work, and I ended up falling asleep around 8:00AM. I only slept until like 12:30, but I felt alright. It was just nice to be away from all the negativity and whatnot that was happening in Duluth. We hung out there the rest of the day, and Dylan drove us home later on.
The rest of the night last night went verrry badly, but that's probably a subject for a different post.
Today is much better. I woke up after sleeping for far too many hours, at about one in the afternoon. I cleaned up my horrid mess of a room, and posted on forums n' stuff while I woke up. Took a shower and realized the bathroom was still a mess too... I told my pop I'd clean it a looong time ago, and never did. So, I made it SPOTLESS. On an excess of energy, I decided I'd like to take a walk in the park. Approaching the bridge I usually cross to get to the other half of the park, I noticed warning signs. Drawing closer, I see this:

Makes me wonder what happened there. o_o... Ah, well.
Now I'm back here, hoping I have the use of my car pretty quick. My mum's car is in getting fixed still. Oh joy. So I'll have the Coug back completely to myself (hopefully) tomorrow, and one day closer to picking up a new car! I'm looking into Lancers, Imprezas, and Impalas. I like the stock speaker configuration and roominess of the Imapalas, but I like the sexiness of the other two. I'll figure it out. ^^

I do noooot wanna go to work again in an hour ;~~~;... This weekend has gone on waaay too long, and now it just feels like a blur. I had Friday, Saturday, and Monday off--Worked Sunday morning, 'till four. Car was not done all weekend, so I had no vessel of transportation. Friday morning, Tony came and got me from Joshu's place, and we all went and played Frisbee Golf (which, by the way, is amazingly fun.) Got dropped back off, and figured out how the weekend would go.
I had a structure for this post, but I completely forgot what it was going to be. I can't keep concentrated on anything today; I have sooo much energy @.@. I hope this keeps up at work~ ^^. Yesterday was fun--I actually got to see Mike (and Sam, Mark, and fucking Zack!) last night. We started at Caribou, playing Settlers. Mike ended up winning that game. I was a not-so-close second. After driving Joshu to work, we met up at Denny's (Perkins was CLOSED! >:| ) and played another round. We got about halfway through (and I was doing fucking AMAZING) before we had to move our game to a different table 'cuz the floor cleaners were there. Which made me SO MAD--I had a buncha fucking settlements and cities around eights and I was just ROLLING in resources. We took a picture of the board to re-set it up later, but got lazy and played Citadels.

Me being amazing.
My car is fixed, so now begins the saving-up of Car Fund, which is to be used in roughly two months. Unfortunately, a few days before this happened, my mum's car gets sideswiped by a car with a plow/cow catcher/something while parked, and now that's in the shop so she's got the Coug. LAME. So I STILL find myself biking to work. Fortunately, it's super nice out, at 72ºF.
Nothing planned for the next few days, other than work. I close today and tomorrow (today's going to suck, I hate truck nights.) I open the next two days, then have Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off. Either Thursday or Friday I'm going to see KT and Tim, probably going to a party of some sort. Saturday, I'm heading up to Kitt's house, and from there I'm leaving with Nata, Lola, and Kitt to go to a rave in Duluth. Hopefully all goes well and we have lotsa fun up thar ^^.
Well, I'd best be getting ready for work nao; I've gotta get biking in roughly 20 minutes. Oh biking to work. That and I've been writing this post all freaking morning. I'm so bad at this. So scatterbrained today @.@

We saw the sky, swarming full with the light that the fireflies made.
An accidental constellation.
These past few weeks have been very interesting. I've gained a lot of insight as to my life and how I want it to go as of right now, and I've grown a lot closer to a few of my friends, despite at times not wanting to see another soul.
We'll start with two weeks ago; I went to a rave. I don't remember what the name of it was, but it was at Cottage Grove Armory, and to be perfectly honest, it wasn't all-too-amazing. I strung a bit, but that didn't really seem to interest me that much. I did enjoy watching the sock-monkey-guy glow-chuck; he was very good. I saw Jack there; that was pretty cool. I don't really ever see him anymore. Before I started writing this, I was talking to Nick. I feel bad I don't get to see my once-oh-so-close-friends very much anymore, but there's a reason for that which I'll talk about later. Well, Nata and I were tired of the show after only about three hours, so we headed back to Joshu's.
The following week (last week,) my car decided it would like to start overheating. Turns out the water pump went bad. Telling my dad we'd take it in, but that he needed to contact me and tell me how much the repair was going to be before he okay'd it, it went into the shop. It was finished the next day... And I had no idea how much it would be. Arriving there, I had a nice little bill of $450.00 to pay.
Cool. Glad I was fucking contacted about that. I love surprise-paying $450 after a long day of work.
Soooo, I get that fixed. A couple days later, Natachu, Bunny, Dylan, Joshu, Jolene, and myself decided to have an all-night-get-together. Jolene was happy to drive Nata and Bunny here, since I told her I wasn't sure if my car would make the trip and back. I was just being paranoid, though... Until the morning, when I was driving them back home, and my car started overheating again. Dylan came, got them, drove them home, and I got the car towed back to the shop. This time? Head gasket. $1,500. Fuck that shit.
So I've been carless for a while now, biking and walking places. The only people I've really been hanging out with being the aforementioned group and KT/Tim, since they're really the only ones to come up to my doorstep and rip me from the confines of my house. I went Disc-Golfing with KT and Tim the other day, which was incredibly more fun than I had previously expected. I then had an impromptu sleepover there. Oops!
I always feel bad though... I feel like I've led KT on in the past. I DID like her, but I had so many problems with other relationships/girls... I'm very glad she has someone like Tim now; I'd never be able to do what he can do for her (Provide a house, car, etc while she goes to school) and I think he's a very good match. In Omaha, they were fighting pretty hardcore, and to this day, I'm not exactly sure what it was all about... I just hope that's all past and they're living happily together now. ^^ I'm also glad we can be good friends, I just wish I could see them more often o_o
Friiiiday, I went and saw Owl City/Swimming With Dolphins play. It. Was. AMAZING. Easily the best show I've been to since Of Montreal or Xiu Xiu. There was so much emotion, so much love, so much happiness there.. They'd also made their synths... Really... Dance-y. Or something. Just a lot more energetic than even on their CDs. They opened with a dance version of Hello Seattle, and closed with the actual song. We met some really awesome people there who were on a road trip from Texas, just to see them o_o. I ended up picking up a Mario-style Owl City shirt, and Nata picked up their hoodie.
After the concert, our little family got together back at Joshu's for one of the most amazing nights I've had in quite a while. That's a subject for another time, though ^^
Now, I'm sitting on my couch, listening to whatever pops on in Songbird. I'm actually in an incredibly good mood, despite the fact that I have to walk to work today, and I'm definitely feeling lazy today. Luckily, I don't work until four today, so I don't really need to rush.
Thinking about the future, and what I want to do. What would make me the most happy in life? What do I really want to do after I leave Best Buy? With the way I want things to go now, it would be many years before I could really do anything. Time's a bitch sometimes. It especially sucks when there's nothing you can do about it. I'd change it if I could, I really would; that's not the reason I'm in this. It just happens to be this way. I need to learn to get better with money, too. I suppose having a car without really really shitty gas mileage will help as well, with how much I drive--I've been spending probably 60 to 70 bucks a week on gas, with my shitty 15MPG. I could get better mileage in a truck >_>. I'm planning on getting either an Accord, an Impala, or a Sunfire. I like the Sunfires, but I definitely want four doors, with how much I seem to be the taxi. I unno. An Impala would be nice; then I could actually have space for people, junk, AND a good sound system eventually. Blarg.
My XBox works. That's sweet.
I played RO the other day. I miss that game.
NASA - The Spirit of Apollo is an amazing album.
Sleeping on Zune headphones hurts my ears.
I killed a huge fucking spider this morning, in the bathroom.
Jen is getting progressively more insane.
I miss certain friends.
I won't have a TV for a while D: ... Money's going towards car.
Coffee is delicious.

Time is going by ridiculously fast. I always tended to believe people when they told me my high school days would be the best days of my life, but I couldn't disagree more. Last night I actually DIDN'T go out for once, as I hadn't actually managed a full night's sleep since before Detour. Tonight, I'm going over to Mike's, who I have also not seen in far too long for how good of a friend I consider him. Two nights ago, Joshu and I went out and picked up Taylor and Nata, then went back to his place and just relaxed, watched anime, and listened to music for a while. After dropping them back off, we went over to Jolene's, where she and Dylan were having a bonfire. Made some peep s'mores, before heading back with every intention of staying up and doing more stuff... But ultimately failing hardcore, falling asleep in a big mass on the gigantic bed.
This weekend's already pretty packed. Tomorrow I open at work, then I'm going to Madelyn/Tony/Brian/Josh's wop at night. Not sure if I'm actually drinking there, or just chatting and having fun, but that should be pretty awesome. Saturday is MoA adventure, so far including myself, Nata, Josh, Taylor, Mary, Jackie, Brad, probably Skyler, and most likely a few others. I'll have money, too! Woo! ^^
Sunday Lindsey invited me to the Spinny Park, which we'll probably end up going to. Not sure what else we'll do... Nick n' group have been playing Airsoft, which I REALLY wanna do now that it's actually nice out. I'm sure if I asked Mike, he'd like to come play too ^^... Maybe I'll bring that up for Friday.
Next week I work a bunch, having Sunday and Tuesday off. I close next Saturday, then I'm going straight to Red Eye, with looots of friends. Took Sunday off for obvious reasons; probably staying with a few people over at Joshu's house. ^^.. Hoping Dylan and Jolene can come that day too! I think they'd absolutely enjoy it. And apparently there's going to be gabber! GABBARRRRRR.

Happier than I've been in a while, and that's saying a lot.
Love ya all.

This week has been ridiculous. Detour was this weekend, of course, and I don't think I could've imagined having more fun there. I even made it out of there with a few hundred bucks left! I met up with a few friends I haven't seen in a very long time, made many new friends, got closer to others, and generally had a blast. Friday night was pretty much just hanging out with friends, buying things, and going to the 4chan panel. The rave was decent, but nothing compared to what I'm sure Satisfied was like. I still had an incredible time. Even somehow managed to get some sleep Friday night! Saturday was pretty epic as well, again pretty much just hanging out with friends, running around, being naughty, and whatnot. Saturday night, sleep... Not s'much. Sunday was sad, seeing everyone go; I'm notorious for doing the whole "Yeah, we'll hang out for sure!" thing. Then never seeing people again. ~.~...
Luckily, somehow, that's been broken. I became reacquainted with Dylan, a friend I met at CompUSA a long time ago, and we ended up getting together two days later, and going out for Mongolian Barbecue with his girlfriend Jolene and 464. The next day, we all hung out with L over at Joshu's place. Last night, I took 464 hiking, then watched the Death Note movie with Dylan and Jolene (Joshu had planned to come too, but ended up falling asleep. x.x..)
In summary, I loves my new fwiends! Now I have to find a way to still be able to see all of my old friends too... It's kinda lame having groups of friends with very different interests sometimes ._. Today I don't think anything's going on yet (I do probably need some sleep, or something) but tomorrow if I can manage to get out of work early, we're all going on a Friday Adventure! So far, it's going to be 464, Jackie, 333, L, Dylan, Jolene, Little Cat, and a few others. I hope I can go! >w<... Saturday we're all meeting up at Rosedale Mall, then 464, Dylan, Jolene, 216, and myself are going to an 8-bit electro music show concert thingy! Wooo!
I'm going to have such a hard time keeping my eyes open today... The only setback with the whole seeing-lots-of-friends-game is I haven't been getting much sleep. ~.~;

I don't even remember the last day I had off. @.@... Today and tomorrow should be glorious. I mean, it's not like my work schedule doesn't allow me to be with friends and do things; I usually don't work too late, and there's lots of days where I'll get off at like five and work the next day at three or four PM... But it's still nice to have a complete day off. It's been near a month since I've been able to fire up Fallout 3 or clean up Compy's hard drive--My torrent list is monstrous, all of Compy's 2TB are near full, and Compy's desktop is a mess. Luckily, Lappy hasn't found the same fate, since I actually get to use him every so often, but it still sucks. Chibi-Compy (Which now belongs to Mike) is still sitting there, waiting for drivers and final tweaks. My XBox is still dead, with no solution in sight save for buying a new one, and I don't really have the money to do so right now... I need to get the car's decks switched, I need to fix the paint on a certain other car (Which damn, paint is expensive on cars >_>,) Anime Detour is coming up, and there's buttloads of other things I need/want.
Y'know what I'm NOT going to be purchasing? THE NEW iPOD SHUFFLE! What a great idea; let's move all the controls for the unit to the notoriously-uncomfortable headphones, rendering anyone else's headphones completely useless! Ah, they'll probably release a $20 or $30 headphone adapter, making the shuffle COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY POINTLESS to own over a nano FOR ANY REASON. I mean, I understand the company's and public's desire for smaller, lighter, more pointless devices as I too am one who loves tiny, pointless things... But this is just ridiculous.
I attended the RE5 midnight launch with Tony. That was very fun, despite me not having a system capable of playing it (or really any free time to do so...) On the way there, I tethered up Lappy to my G1, and hopped on Skype. I pulled up a video chat with Silly-chan, so she could talk to Madelyn when we finally got to Gamestop. I love technology so much... It's just like that floating head on a computer in Perfect Dark!
Season 3 of Lost is amazing so far; I fell asleep last night at like nine watching it. I was becoming slightly disinterested after the final few episodes of season 2, but it's becoming very interesting again. Working on downloading Season 2 of Weeds; Season 1 was very good, and I've been told it just gets better.
I've got lots of random pictures I'm going to post to my Flickr, but I've got so many things to do this morning, I probably shouldn't even be writing this. Tomorrow should actually be a real day off >_>... Today there's no work, but that doesn't mean my plate's not full of other things. Speaking of plates, I need to eat, too; I'm very hungry. I haven't really had the chance to eat a goood meal in days, just snacks here and there, with the occasional decent bite at friends' houses... Eff that ess, I'm going to get sushi some time next week. @.@
'ta for now.

It's nearing 4:00 now! I'm trying to successfully hit 6:00 or 7:00, so I can sleep before VACTIONTIME! I'm managing to do that pretty well. I have anime Mesna mentioned, The Girl Who Lept Through Time downloading, as well as Superjail and a disco of an artist I haven't heard in a while. I've been managing to stay awake by packing my bag for tomorrow, trying to find my duct tape (for glowstringing goodness!) practicing glowsticking/stringing, and playing Left4Dead. Oh, and MAKING INCREMENTAL BACKUPS. I'm very excited for tomorrow; I can't wait for my road trip! Turns out we're going to Omaha, Nebraska, straight from Satisfied to ANOTHER RAVE! Woo. Much fun is to be had.
I thought I had more to post, but I got distracted with trance and glowey things. 'till next time!

Come to find out, my phone's not tethering through USB.
It's set up as a wireless router.
That means, as many people as I allow access to, can connect to my internet. Holy shit. Also means I can have my phone in my pocket, and my laptop out, nothing connected; completely wireless. On the interwebs. Same with any friends near me. Fuck.
That's awesome. Downloads yesterday were running at 200KB/Sec, and uploads were going 450KB/sec. What the hell, T-mobile? That's faster than my Comcast uploads. ~.~
